You’ve tried…

  • Pushing your feelings down

  • Pushing yourself to do more

  • Pushing harder to be who others want you to be

Only to feel exhausted, stuck, and questioning what comes next.

 Maybe it feels like…

  • Your endless to-do list is eating away at you, reinforcing the belief that you’re never enough while you stew in stress, worry, and overwhelm.

  • You avoid or delay doing things out of self-doubt or fear, despite having a contingency plan for every what-if scenario already planned out.

  • Utter exhaustion to keep having to explain and justify your LGBTQ+ identity, always fearing rejection and monitoring for your safety.

  • A challenge to live and love as your true self, when you’ve been told who you are—and how you love—is wrong, bad, and shameful.

  • You try to please the people in your life—feeling guilty and selfish when you consider your own needs and resentful when they’re never met.

  • You've reached a point in your life where you can't help but reexamine parts of your past and evaluate your current relationships.

A rocky trail winds through fog and tall grass symbolizing the emotional exhaustion, overwhelm, and uncertainty experienced with anxiety, LGBTQ+ identity, and relationship issues. Clarity and relief are possible through online therapy in Columbus.
Hi, I’m Steph.
(she/her/hers)

Spoiler Alert: Getting unstuck and changing doesn’t start with pushing harder!

Real change starts with being more aware and acknowledging what is true now.

As a holistic and inclusive therapist, you are welcome to bring any topic to therapy.  Together, we can apply curiosity and compassion to your concerns, whether they relate to anxiety, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationships  — or anything else that comes up in our work.

Stephanie George, LISW, a holistic psychotherapist, sits on a blue couch in a welcoming space. Her warm presence reflects the trust she brings to online therapy in Columbus and across Ohio—supporting adults through counseling and integrative care.

At the heart of my approach is helping you build awareness.

By becoming more aware of your thoughts, feelings, body and behaviors in the present moment you can start to see patterns that are keeping you stuck. This awareness gives you the power to make choices and create the changes you want in your life.

As your therapist, you can count on me to be a curious explorer companion.

I will:

  • guide you with prompts to help build your awareness about what you are experiencing

  • support you as you navigate through uncomfortable emotions

  • challenge you to be truly honest with yourself and others

  • celebrate your discoveries and wins as you start taking steps towards a life that feels like yours

Together, we’ll work to make choices that reflect your true self, with confidence and clarity.

Let’s start exploring!

Ways We Can Work Together

You deserve to work with a therapist who embraces who you are.

As a queer therapist, I create a therapy space where you’ll feel accepted, understood, and supported. I have a decade of experience specializing in:

  • I specialize in supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals. I work alongside you through your gender exploration and transition process, and provide letter-writing services for those seeking gender-affirming care.

  • I help you explore and embrace your sexual orientation, navigate the coming-out process, and the emotions and reactions that come with disclosing your orientation to others.

  • Therapy with me is a safe space for openly discussing sex. This might include changes in sexual function related to HRT, experiencing dysphoria during sex, navigating sexual health, living with HIV, and being kinky.

  • I provide a space where you can openly discuss the unique challenges of polyamory and ethical non-monogamy. We’ll work together to manage emotions, set healthy boundaries, and practice effective communication in relationships with multiple partners.

Simple first steps toward meaningful work

Step 1

A Free Consultation

We’ll meet briefly by video for 15 to 20 minutes to see if we’re a good fit. You can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a feel for how I work. If we both feel like it's a good match, we'll move on to step two.

Step 2

Your First Session

We'll meet by video for a full session for about 60 minutes. You’ll complete intake forms ahead of time, and we’ll use the session to talk more in-depth about your current concerns and what you're hoping to get from therapy.

Step 3

Ongoing Sessions

We’ll orient our work toward the changes you’re seeking. In our video sessions, typically 45 to 60 minutes, we can focus on deepening self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and navigating challenges with more confidence.

Support. Clarity. Confidence.

Feel empowered to make the changes you desire.
