Anxiety • LGBTQ+ • Individual Relationship Issues
Maybe you’re…
Overwhelmed by constant worry that feels like a suffocating pressure to anticipate and prevent every potential problem. You're plagued by self-doubt and a nagging feeling that you're never doing enough. That knot in your stomach and the tension in your body are constant reminders of your inner turmoil.
Exhausted from having to explain, defend, and justify parts of your identity, while navigating a world that often feels unsafe and unwelcoming to the LGBTQ+ community. You find yourself always scanning environments for safety, monitoring your language, and making strategic decisions about when and with whom it's safe to be your authentic self.
Stuck in patterns of miscommunication, unmet needs, and emotional labor—feeling drained from juggling multiple relationship dynamics and constantly working to ensure everyone’s needs are met. You find yourself questioning your role in these relationships, wondering about the balance of emotional investment, while longing for more authentic and reciprocal connections.
You’ve been contemplating the changes you might want to make in your life, but feel at a loss about how to sort it all out and trust your own decisions.
Hi, I’m Steph.
(she/her/hers)
Let’s turn down the static and tune into your own answers.
You’re in the right place to get support. I work with Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers who know that real change doesn’t happen overnight—and that committing to self-exploration leads to lasting growth.
I bring both professional expertise and personal experience in navigating anxiety, LGBTQ+ challenges, and relationship struggles.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, doubting yourself and your relationships, or are simply ready to understand yourself on a deeper level—I’m here to help.

-
I’m a dig-in-deep, explore-with-you kind of therapist—curious, engaged, and here to help you uncover what truly matters to you.
The heart of my work is grounded in awareness. Before change can happen, you first need to understand what you’re experiencing. That’s why I focus on present-moment awareness—helping loosen the grip of old patterns so you can become more choiceful.
You are more than just your thoughts! Deep, lasting transformation happens when you connect with your whole self—your emotions, body, and breath—not just your mind. That’s why our work together will include integrating all aspects of your experience for a more holistic approach to healing.
We've all been tempted to believe that “if I just push harder, I can have the life I imagine.” But real change isn’t about force—it’s about self-compassion and self-support. These are the foundations for building the life you desire.
Above all, I believe your truth matters! Therapy isn’t about following someone else’s rules—it’s about discovering what’s right for you. When you align with your needs, values, and desires, you create a life that feels like yours.
-
Therapy is an active, engaged process. I’ll guide your attention to help you become more aware of what you’re experiencing in the moment.
You can expect me to ask questions like:
What are you noticing right now?
What’s happening in your body as you tell me this?
How familiar does this feel?
I’ll also pay attention to pacing, making sure we don’t rush past something important. I’ll model curiosity and compassion toward whatever comes up, and I’ll invite you to do the same.
Between sessions, we might explore journal prompts or experiential exercises—ways to deepen your awareness and keep you moving toward your goals.
Together, we’ll move through what’s holding you back so you can step into what you most desire.
What It’s Like to Work Together
Therapy with me is a balance of support, curiosity, humor, honesty, and challenge.
I’m here to help you feel safe enough to share openly—knowing you’ll be met with compassion, not judgment. On your hardest days, you won’t have to go it alone. We can schedule more frequent sessions when you need extra support.
You’ll feel my full presence in each session—the way I notice a shift in your voice or body language and gently guide you to explore what’s happening in the moment. I listen for the things you haven’t yet put into words and remember the details you’ve shared, helping you connect the dots over time.
Clients decide to keep working with me because of what they gain in therapy—greater self-awareness, tools they can actually use, clarity about what they want, and the confidence to make meaningful life changes.
Through our work together, my hope is that you’ll feel like you’ve finally won an all-access VIP pass to yourself!
How is my approach to therapy different?
-
You’ve tried getting help from loved ones, but their well-meaning advice—"just don’t worry so much"—hasn’t given you real strategies to untangle yourself from the worry. Maybe other therapists have focused on changing your thoughts but overlooked the deeper layers—your emotions, your body’s response, and the full-body, all-encompassing experience of anxiety.
As someone who used to be very anxious myself, I can spot an “I should” or “what if” thought a mile away. That’s actually good news for you! Together, we’ll work on recognizing unhelpful thinking patterns and reshaping them in ways that actually serve you.
But we won’t stop at thoughts—because anxiety isn’t just in your head. You’ll also benefit from my background as a certified yoga teacher, where I specialized in body and breath awareness skills for managing anxiety and stress. We’ll explore how anxiety shows up in your body and breath, helping you develop tools that go beyond just thinking differently.
In our work together, we’ll be curious explorers, uncovering the full picture of what contributes to your feelings of nervousness, worry, overwhelm, and fear. Through this holistic approach, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself—and real strategies for finding relief.
-
Maybe you've worked with other therapists who weren’t well-versed in LGBTQ+ topics, leaving you to either educate them or be referred elsewhere. Maybe you’ve disclosed your relationship structure, only to be met with skepticism, assumptions about cheating, or the suggestion that non-monogamy itself is the issue. Books and podcasts have helped, but they don’t offer the space to process the bundle of feelings you’re carrying.
As a queer, sex-positive, and gender-affirming therapist, I won’t make you prove or justify who you are. I’ll ask how you identify and about your relationship structure—not because I need convincing, but because I want to understand you.
I know what it’s like to have people make assumptions. While everyone’s experiences are different, I understand the fear-based questions, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight that can come with disclosing parts of yourself. In our work together, you won’t have to wonder if I “get it.” I do. And I know that your identity is not the problem—prejudice, oppression, and discrimination are.
This is your space to be fully seen, understood, and supported.

You may have previously felt misunderstood or unseen when seeking relationship help. Maybe you were given general advice without a therapist truly understanding your unique relationship dynamics. Perhaps an emphasis on communication skills has missed the deeper emotional and somatic aspects of your relationship experience.
I’m a Gestalt therapist trained in Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy. We won’t just focus on surface-level communication techniques or managing symptoms. This holistic approach facilitates deeper exploration of the emotional responses that shape how you engage with others, and how you experience yourself in relationships.
I bring practical insight from eight years as a couples therapist, working with both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships. In individual therapy for relationship issues, we’ll get curious about the patterns that keep repeating, and how you might begin to shift those dynamics.
Together, we’ll identify ways you can build more authentic and fulfilling connections.
What grounds my work and informs how I show up for you in therapy?
-
My social work education reinforced my understanding that your struggles don’t exist in a vacuum—they’re connected to the world around you. That means our work together won’t just focus on your internal experiences, but also on the external factors that shape them.
We’ll address your immediate concerns while acknowledging the larger societal forces that impact your well-being.
-
I’ve been fortunate to learn from masterfully skilled therapists who made the work look like magic—seamlessly guiding clients toward clarity, healing, and growth. Inspired by their skill, I completed over 300 hours of post-graduate training in Gestalt Therapy and Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy.
These holistic approaches don’t just focus on changing thoughts or behaviors—they help you develop deep self-awareness, heal emotional wounds, and shift long-standing patterns in a meaningful way.
-
From the very start of my career, I’ve been dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. I began my work in a nonprofit healthcare system with a focus on LGBTQ+ communities and people living with or impacted by HIV and AIDS. I have continued to specialize in providing affirming therapy in private practice.
I know how vital it is to feel seen and understood, and I strive to offer that to every client I work with.
This blend of education, advanced training, and hands-on experience allows me to offer therapy that’s not just insightful—but truly tailored to you.
